ACCOUNT & DATA DELETION

Effective Date: July 12, 2026This page explains how users of The Bouldering Guidebook can request deletion of their account and associated data.You can delete your account directly through the app, or request deletion without accessing the app by contacting us here: https://join.hybridclimbing.com/pages/contact

1. How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: Delete Your Account in the AppIf you have access to The Bouldering Guidebook, you can permanently delete your account from the app:Open Bouldering Guidebook.
1.. Open Profile.
2. Select Delete Account.
3. Follow the confirmation instructions.Using the Delete Account function will permanently delete your app account and the data associated with that account.This includes your account email address, password, training data, training history and other data associated with your app account.Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.Option 2: Request Deletion Without Accessing the AppIf you have uninstalled Bouldering Guidebook, cannot access your account, or prefer to request deletion outside the app, you can contact us through our website's contact form: https://join.hybridclimbing.com/pages/contactWhen submitting your request, please state that you are requesting account and data deletion and provide the email address associated with your Bouldering Guidebook account.You do not need to reinstall the app to submit a deletion request.

2. What Data Will Be Deleted?

When your Bouldering Guidebook account is deleted, we will delete the personal data associated with your app account, including:Your account email address
Your account password
Your training data
Your training history
Other personal data associated with your app accountThe deletion of this data is permanent.

3. Payment and Stripe Information

Payment and billing information may be processed separately through Stripe.If you would like personal information associated with your Stripe customer record to be removed, you can request this through our website's contact form.This may include information such as:

  1. Telephone number

  2. Email address

  3. Billing or postal address

  4. Stripe customer information

  5. Payment information

  6. Banking information, where applicable

We will process your request and, where applicable, request deletion of the relevant information held by Stripe.Some payment or transaction information may need to be retained by Stripe or us where required for legal, regulatory, accounting, security or fraud-prevention purposes.

4. Data Retention

We do not retain your Bouldering Guidebook account or training data after your account has been deleted, except where information must be retained for a legitimate legal, regulatory, security, fraud-prevention or accounting purpose.Where data is required to be retained, it will only be retained for as long as necessary to satisfy that requirement.Any retained information will not be used for purposes unrelated to the reason for its retention.

5. What Happens After I Request Deletion?

Deletion through the appDeletion requests made using the Delete Account function are processed through the app's account deletion process.Deletion requests submitted through our websiteIf you request deletion through our contact form, we will review the request and process it as soon as reasonably practicable.We may ask for information necessary to verify that you own or control the account before completing the deletion request.Once deletion has been completed, the deleted account data cannot be recovered.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

Where personal data associated with your Bouldering Guidebook account has been processed by a service provider on our behalf, we will take appropriate steps to request deletion of that data where applicable.Some third-party providers may be required to retain certain information for legal, regulatory, security, accounting or fraud-prevention purposes.
